She was born Aug. 8, 1914, to Samuel J. and Mamie Daniels in Garrison, N.D. She was raised in North Dakota and eastern Montana. She graduated from high school in Sidney, Mont. Read More	Wenatchee World - June 10, 1994 EAST WENATCHEE - Viola "Vi" Grebe, 79, a 40-year resident of East Wenatchee, died Wednesday, June 8, 1994, in Central Washington Hospital. She was born Aug. 8, 1914, to Samuel J. and Mamie Daniels in Garrison, N.D. She was raised in North Dakota and eastern Montana. She graduated from high school in Sidney, Mont. She later moved with her family to Hamilton, Mont. She married Henry Grebe on Nov. 22, 1941, in Hamilton. They lived in Hamilton until they moved to Wenatchee in 1943. Her husband served in the U.S. Army during World War II and she moved with her parents to Portland, where she managed a gas station. When her husband returned from the service they purchased a farm near Barton, Ore. They moved in 1954 to East Wenatchee where they have lived since. Mrs. Grebe worked as a cherry and apple packer for several years and then operated a lunch room cafe at Cascadian Fruit Shippers. She retired because of ill health. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in East Wenatchee. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, at home; a daughter, Mrs. John (Arlene) Dennett of Tacoma; a sister, Beulah Hill of Portland; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters. Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley in East Wenatchee.
