Mrs. Yerdon was born January 28, 1895 in Iowa, the daughter of Thomas and Jennie Zimmerman. In 1897 she moved to Miller with her parents and lived here until 1957 when she moved to Redondo Beach. She married Leonard Yerdono in May, 1916 at St. Lawrence. She taught in the Hand County schools for several years. Yerdon, 83, Redondo Beach, CA died Thursday, Nov. 16 at a hospital at Redondo Beach. Mrs. Yerdon was born January 28, 1895 in Iowa, the daughter of Thomas and Jennie Zimmerman. In 1897 she moved to Miller with her parents and lived here until 1957 when she moved to Redondo Beach. She married Leonard Yerdono in May, 1916 at St. Lawrence. She taught in the Hand County schools for several years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, First United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Eileen Meyer, Redondo Beach, Mrs. Bessie Shaw, Larel, MD; a son, Royce L. Yerdon, Faulkton; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 22 at the Reck Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Greenough officiating. Interment was in the GAR Cemetery. Pallbearers were Tim, Terry, Tom and Todd Yerdon, Clayton Eschenbaum and Clayton Sisk.
