Read More	Mrs. Clem McCormick Dies Suddenly Sunday Death Occurs at Home of Parents-in-law Near Sioux City; Funeral and Burial Here Tuesday Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wentz were saddened on Sunday, when word came that their daughter, Mrs. Clem McCormick, had passed away at the home of her parents-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jake McCormick, ten miles north of Sioux City. She was taken ill about 4 o'clock Sunday morning and her husband took her to his parents, who reside only a mile west of him, to be cared for and called a doctor. She passed away six hours later. Death was attributed to cerebral hemorrhage. Viola Wentz was born at Olivet, S.D. and had she lived until September 7, 1940, she would have been 25 years old. She lived at White River, S.D. with her parents and came to Creighton with them in 1920, spending her childhood days in this city and attended the public school. On November 23, 1932 she was united in marriage to Clem McCormick at Creighton. To this union five children were born, two dying in infancy. Following her marriage, the couple resided on farms northeast and southeast of Creighton and also lived on a farm near Bloomfield, before their removal to near Sioux City, where they made their home until the time of her death. Her passing is extremely sad, owing to the fact that she leaves to mourn besides her husband, three small children, two daughters, Shirley Ann, age 2, Pauline Bertha, age 6 and a son, Billy, age 4. Other relatives mourning her departure are here parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wentz of Creighton, two sisters, Mrs. Louis Rasmussen, Osmond; Shirley at home and five brothers, Ralph, James, Earl, Leslie and Kenneth. The remains were brought to Creighton on Monday afternoon and funeral services were held on Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock from the St. Ludger Catholic church. Rev. Father Windolph officiated. The body was laid to rest in St. Ludger cemetery beside her two daughters, who preceded her in death. She was a Christian woman, a loving mother to her children and a faithful helpmate to her husband.
