Description	:	PIERCE - Virginia M. Fehringer, 75, of Pierce died Friday, Feb. 16, 2007, at her home. Funeral services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierce with interment in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the church with a 7:30 p.m. rosary. Stonacek Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Virginia was born Nov. 15, 1931, at Creighton to John and Marie (Grothe) Maly. She attended St. Ludger's Academy in Creighton, graduating in 1949, and attended Wayne State College for two years where she received her teacher's certificate. She was a housewife and school teacher. She taught school east of Creighton for three years. On Feb. 1, 1954, she married Gordon Fehringer at St. Ludger's Catholic Church in Creighton. After their marriage they moved to a farm west of Wausa. Virginia also taught school a short time. They then moved to a farm north of Bloomfield. They had a farm sale and moved to Kearney in 1985. While at Kearney she worked at a daycare and sold Avon products. They then moved back to Bloomfield from Kearney for one year. In November of 1989 they moved to Pierce. Virginia did house cleaning for different families until her illness in December of 2006. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierce, Christian Mothers, Altar Society, Deanery Omaha Archdiocese, Pierce American Legion Auxiliary, lifetime member of Archdiocesan for Catholic Women. Survivors include her husband, Gordon Fehringer of Pierce; two sons, William and wife Celine Fehringer of Pierce and David Fehringer and wife Sarah Hall of River Falls, Wis.; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers: James and wife Janice Maly of Verdigre, Tom and wife Carol Maly of Omaha and Robert and wife Deloris Maly of Omaha; three sisters: Ruth and husband Jack Wilmes of Tecumseh, Mary Kay and husband Chris Masters of Crete, and Susan Maly of Omaha. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Suzanne Maly. The Rev. Jerry Connealy will officiate. Music will be by organist Mrs. Linda Peekenschneider and St. Joseph's Church Choir. Casket bearers will be her grandchildren: Gordon, Benjamin, Adam, Joseph, Michaela, Annette and Brooke.
