She had been a resident of the Home for 15 years. Born in Pittsylvania County, VA, she was the daughter of Joseph Sidney Wells and Cora Aaron Wells. She had lived most of her life in Pittsylvania County, VA. She was of the Baptist faith and was married to the late Willie Shields. Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
