Description	:	OBIT: Wallace Albert Smith, 94, of Bremerton died Monday at Forest Ridge Convalescent Center. He was born March 13 1899 in Joy, Minnesota. He moved with his parents to Thorp, Kittitas County in October 1912 where he attended grade school and high school. He served in the American Expeditionary Forces in France during World War I. He then attended Eugene Bible University in Eugene, Oregon and Ellensburg Normal School in Ellensburg, Kittitas County. Read More	OBIT: Wallace Albert Smith, 94, of Bremerton died Monday at Forest Ridge Convalescent Center. He was born March 13 1899 in Joy, Minnesota. He moved with his parents to Thorp, Kittitas County in October 1912 where he attended grade school and high school. He served in the American Expeditionary Forces in France during World War I. He then attended Eugene Bible University in Eugene, Oregon and Ellensburg Normal School in Ellensburg, Kittitas County. Mr. Smith was ordained to the ministry of the Christian Church (disciples of Christ) on September 2, 1928. He served in churches in Montana, Idaho and Washington and retired from full-time ministry at the Westpark Christian Church in Bremerton in 1973, moving to Ellensburg. After retirement he served numerous interim ministries in Washington. On August 17, 1929 he married Elsie Bradshaw in Yakima. Mrs. Smith died in April 1982. Survivors include a son, Rodney of Bremerton; two daughters, Gloria of Ellensburg, Kittitas County, and Sally of St. Louis, Missouri; three sisters, Mildred Notson of Anacortes, Skagit County, Dorothy Schwarck of Tigard, Oregon, and Edna Lyons of Issaquah, King County; two brothers, Raymond Smith of Sublimity, Oregon and Robert Smith of Ellensburg; two grandsons; and two great grandsons. Memorial services will be 3 p.m., Sunday at First Christian Church in Bremerton and at 1 p.m., November 22 at First Christian Church in Ellensburg. Private inurnment will be at the IOOF Cemetery in Ellensburg. Memorials may be made to the Endowment Fund for Ministerial Relief and Assistance, Pension Fund of Christian Church 200 Barrister Bldg., 155 East Market St., Indianapolis, Ind. 46204. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel with cremation at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Bremerton Sun, November 15, 1993
