Description	:	OBIT: Elsie A. Smith, 80, of 105 No. Ruby St., Ellensburg, died Sunday at her home. She was born December 8, 1901 in Church Hill, Tennessee, a daughter of the late George and Ellen Bradshaw. She moved with her parents at the age of three years and spent her early life on the farm in the Ridgeway area. Later the family moved to Thorp where she attended school. She was graduated from Ellensburg Normal School and for 20 years was a primary level teacher in the Selah and Creston schools. She retired in 1966. She and Wallace... Read More	OBIT: Elsie A. Smith, 80, of 105 No. Ruby St., Ellensburg, died Sunday at her home. She was born December 8, 1901 in Church Hill, Tennessee, a daughter of the late George and Ellen Bradshaw. She moved with her parents at the age of three years and spent her early life on the farm in the Ridgeway area. Later the family moved to Thorp where she attended school. She was graduated from Ellensburg Normal School and for 20 years was a primary level teacher in the Selah and Creston schools. She retired in 1966. She and Wallace A. Smith were married in Yakima, August 17, 1929. She was a member of the First Christian Church. Survivors in addition to her husband include one son, the Rev. Rodney W. Smith, Los Angeles, California; two daughters, Gloria A. Smith of Ellensburg, and the Rev. Sally K. Smith, St. Louis, Mo.; two grandchildren, and three sisters, Lillie Mitchell, Ellensburg, Beatrice Stevenson, Issaquah, and Mrs. Fred (Alice) Orndoff of Leavenworth. Cremation service will be held in Yakima followed by family memorial services at a later time. Memorial gifts may be sent to First Christian Church to be forwarded to the pension fund of the Christian Churches for supplemented gifts to retired missionaries and ministers before the present pension fund became operative.
