Description	:	GLENDALE, Calif. - Wallace J. Huard, 86, passed away September 30, 2014. He was born March 24, 1928, in Winslow, son of the late Louis and Helene (Turgeon) Huard. Wally was educated in Winslow schools and later worked at the Hollingsworth and Whitney Paper Company. He served honorably in the Army during the Korean War from 1950 to 1952 stationed in Osaka, Japan. He was born March 24, 1928, in Winslow, son of the late Louis and Helene (Turgeon) Huard. Wally was educated in Winslow schools and later worked at the Hollingsworth and Whitney Paper Company. He served honorably in the Army during the Korean War from 1950 to 1952 stationed in Osaka, Japan. He moved to California in 1957 and went to work at Angelus Sanitary Can Corporation where he met his future wife, Lillie (Wilmont) Huard. They were married August 24, 1963. Wally held several jobs before starting his own successful business in 1976 manufacturing air filtration products and remained self employed until retirement. He was a very generous man and would go to any length to help anyone who needed it. He was the ultimate family man and led by example. He never complained about anything and always placed God and his family above all else. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Lillie Huard; his son, Wallace, and his wife, April, and their sons, Cole and Christopher, and daughter Carrington, of The Woodlands, TX; his daughter, Nora Huard-Showalter, and her husband, Bryan Showalter, and their daughter, Lily, and sons Nixon and Asher, of Stevenson Ranch, CA; four brothers, Gerald and his wife, Gladys, of Palm Springs, CA, Joseph, of Cathedral City, CA, Leonel and his wife, Angela, of Winslow, and Louis Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Gorham; two sisters, Germaine (Huard) Mathieu, of Waterville, and Elizabeth (Huard) Withee and her husband, Harold, of Winslow; brother-in-law Robert Lacombe, of Palm Desert, CA; and sister-in-law Jane Huard, of Downey, CA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and several cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Louis and Helene; brothers John, Lucien, Reginald, George, Fern, Leon and David; and sisters Anita and Antoinette. Funeral services will be held at St. Bruno Catholic Church in Whittier, CA, and a summer burial will be held at the family plot in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, Grove Street, Waterville.
