THROCKMORTON PASSED AWAY MONDAY" -- Walter Eberly Throckmorton was born in Prairie township, Fremont County, November 3, 1869 and died June 16, 1919 in Sidney township, aged 49 years 7 months and 13 days. He was united in marriage to Miss Estella Burnice Thompson on Sept. 7th, 1899. To this union were born two chidren, Lila Faye, who died in infancy and Bessie Desdemonia, who now lives at Lawton, Oklahoma. THROCKMORTON PASSED AWAY MONDAY" -- Walter Eberly Throckmorton was born in Prairie township, Fremont County, November 3, 1869 and died June 16, 1919 in Sidney township, aged 49 years 7 months and 13 days. He was united in marriage to Miss Estella Burnice Thompson on Sept. 7th, 1899. To this union were born two chidren, Lila Faye, who died in infancy and Bessie Desdemonia, who now lives at Lawton, Oklahoma. The deceased had been in very poor health for the last seven years and the immediate cause of his death was a stroke of paralysis suffered Sunday evening. Mrs. Throckmorton was visiting at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Louis VanNess in Oklahoma at the time of Mr. Throckmorton's death and together with her daughter and son-in-law, arrived here Wednesday morning. He leaves besides his wife and daughter his father, J. R. Throckmorton of Sidney, three sisters, Mrs. Edd. Rawlings, of Sidney, Mrs. Josie Reed of Portland, Ore., and Mrs. James Helm of Sidney, and one brother, Will of Albion, Nebr. Funeral services were held from the Methodist Church Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Raoul R. Moser, assisted by Rev. E. V. Goad of the Baptist Church officiated. Burial was made in Sidney cemetery. In the death of Mr. Throckmorton the community loses one of its best citizens and the bereaved relatives of the departed have the hearfelt sympathy of all.
