Potts, 89, died on May 2, 2022 at Indiana University Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, IN. He was born on August 16, 1932 in White County, IN to the late Charles and Eva (Denton) Potts. On June 5, 1951 in Fulton County, IN, he married Grace Shotts. She passed away on September 16, 1967. On January 24, 1970 in White County, IN, he married Clara J. Griesey. She passed away on May 18, 2015. Walter had lived in the Monticello, IN area all of his life and attended school at Adams Township in Carroll County, IN. He attended the Hickory Grove Church. Walter had worked at the old RCA Factory for 32 years. He then went on to work at Jordan Manufacturing for 12 years. Walter loved and enjoyed woodworking and did that since he was a teenager. He enjoyed collecting salt and pepper shakers and was a member of the Michigan Shakers. Walter loved wildlife and watching all kinds of nature shows. He especially loved his dog, Pup. Walter is survived by two children; six stepchildren; one sister; one sister-in-law; his dog, Pup; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wives; two brothers, Wayne Potts and Donald Potts; and four sisters - Ruth Martin, Mary Lossing, Gladys Potts and Ruby Tam. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday, May 6, 2022 at Miller-Roscka Funeral Home in Monticello, IN. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 7, 2022. Pastor Ken Smith will officiate. Burial will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Reynolds, IN.
