Walter John Naeve was born Jan. 21, 1909 at his parents’ home in Ogden and in 1927 graduated from the Clare High School. On Jan. 30, 1935 he married Leona Meta Pohl at Knierim. The couple farmed near Clare and in 1976, after retirement, he moved to an acreage near Otho. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fort Dodge. OBITUARY FOR A CHRISTIAN MAN Walter John Naeve was born January 21, 1909, at Ogden, IA, the son of John Naeve and Alvina Junck. Walter was baptized in the name of the Triune God at Zion Lutheran Church of Ogden, IA, on March 21, 1909. He confirmed his faith in Jesus Christ on March 25, 1936, having been instructed in the teachings of the faith at Trinity Lutheran Church of Knierim, IA. Walter was joined in marriage to Leona Pohl on January 30, 1935 at Trinity Lutheran Church of Knierim, IA. Their marriage was blessed with these children: Ron Naeve and his wife Bea, of Otho, IA; Ruth Craig, deceased. Walter also enjoyed the privilege of 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Walter served his Lord as a communing member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Ft. Dodge, IA for many years. He was called to his eternal rest on February 13, 2004. His body is laid to rest here to await the resurrection summons of our Lord Jesus Christ.
