Description	:	Walter N. Garbers, age 79, of Delta passed away early Tuesday November 2, 2010 at the Defiance Area Inpatient Care Center. Prior to his retirement he had worked as a Mechanic for Rich Ford in Archbold for many years. Mr. Garbers was born on March 29, 1931 in York Township, Fulton County to the late Fred and the late Almeda (Glanz) Garbers. He married Mary Lou Osterhout and she survives. Garbers, age 79, of Delta passed away early Tuesday November 2, 2010 at the Defiance Area Inpatient Care Center. Prior to his retirement he had worked as a Mechanic for Rich Ford in Archbold for many years. Mr. Garbers was born on March 29, 1931 in York Township, Fulton County to the late Fred and the late Almeda (Glanz) Garbers. He married Mary Lou Osterhout and she survives. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Delta where he had been active in the Luther League and as a former Sunday School Teacher. Mr. Garbers was a US Army veteran. Surviving besides his wife are children; Rodney (Cassie) Garbers, Rex (Cindy) Garbers; Glen (Candice) Garbers, Myron (Sondra) Garbers, Cindy (David) Prater, 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death besides his parents was brother; Luther Garbers. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Friday November 5, 2010 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Delta with Pastor Eric Markovich officiating. Interment will follow in the Raker Cemetery. Friends may call at the Grisier Funeral Home in Delta from 2:00-4:00and 6:00-8:00pm on Thursday. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Defiance Area Inpatient Care Center. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.GrisierFH.com. The Grisier Funeral Home in Delta has been entrusted with arrangements.
