Description	:	Ward LeRoy Shaw the son of Roy Earl and Clara Alvina (Wallenburg) Shaw was born December 22, 1926 on a farm east of Deweese, Nebraska in Nuckolls County. Ward departed this life on Friday, June 22, 2012 at the Brodstone Memorial Hospital in Superior, Nebraska. As a young boy Ward attended East Buffalo rural school then graduated from Edgar High School with the class of 1944. On July 29, 1946 Ward was united in marriage to Betty Dunkle. Read More	Ward LeRoy Shaw the son of Roy Earl and Clara Alvina (Wallenburg) Shaw was born December 22, 1926 on a farm east of Deweese, Nebraska in Nuckolls County. Ward departed this life on Friday, June 22, 2012 at the Brodstone Memorial Hospital in Superior, Nebraska. As a young boy Ward attended East Buffalo rural school then graduated from Edgar High School with the class of 1944. On July 29, 1946 Ward was united in marriage to Betty Dunkle. Ward and Betty had four children, three sons and a daughter. Ward made farming his life career which he dearly enjoyed and was active in the farming operation well into his 80's. Ward and Betty were active antique collectors, they bought and sold antiques for years and attended antique shows near and far. Ward spent many hours reading in his spare time, he often recieted poetry and played his harmonica for enjoyment. Ward was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, he will be fondly remembered and loved by all who know and loved him. Ward is preceded in death by: parents; son, Randall Shaw and brother, Clyde Shaw. Survivors are: sons, Rodney Shaw and wife Dawn of Nelson, NE. and Larry Shaw and wife Charlene; daughter, Wilhelmina Courchaine of Algoma, WA.; sister Eileen Mikkelsen and husband Robert of Edgar, NE.; brother Carl Shaw and wife Linda of Sutton, NE.; 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and a host of relatives and friends. Burial was in the Edgar Cemetery, Edgar, NE.
