Description	:	Philip Clyde Shaw, son of Roy and Clara Wallenburg Shaw, was born in Nuckolls County, Nebraska, on March 27, 1924, and departed this life on Friday, July 10, 1987, at his farm in Nuckolls County, Nebraska, at the age of 63 years, 3 months and 13 days. Read More	Philip Clyde Shaw, son of Roy and Clara Wallenburg Shaw, was born in Nuckolls County, Nebraska, on March 27, 1924, and departed this life on Friday, July 10, 1987, at his farm in Nuckolls County, Nebraska, at the age of 63 years, 3 months and 13 days. Clyde attended Edgar schools, graduating with the class of 1941. He served his country with the United States Army during WWII in the European and Pacific Theater of Operations. After the war, Clyde returned home to the Fairfield, Deweese, Edgar area where he farmed and raised livestock. On November 30, 1963, he was united in marriage to Jean Jacobs and they continued to make their home on the farm. He was a member of the Church of the Plains, Edgar, serving as the clerk of the session; member of the Fairfield American Legion Post and the Masonic Lodge #67 A.F. & A.M. of Edgar. His father preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Jean of Fairfield; sons, Robert and wife Martha of Lincoln, Dick and wife Sherry of Fairfield and Mike and wife Patty of Hastings; daughters, Deanna Schnieder of and husband Jack of Eaton, Colorado, and Deborah Schmer and husband Gary of Alliance; his mother, Clara Shaw of Edgar; a sister, Eileen Mikkelsen of Edgar; brothers, Ward and wife Betty of Deweese and Carl and wife Linda of Sutton; 17 grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 14, 1987, at 10:30 a.m. from the Urbauer-Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Edgar. The Rev. Stuart Barnes Jamieson officiated.
