Description	:	Warren G. Hale, 95, of Roanoke, Va., and formerly of Floyd, Va., passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, November 18, 2016. Warren was preceded in death by his parents, George and Emma Kansas Hale; a son, Gary Hale; and 15 brothers and sisters.Warren was a retired homebuilder and farmer. He was a World War II Army Veteran who was proud to serve his country and earned many honors for his service. He enjoyed fishing, dancing and most of all, card playing. Warren was preceded in death by his parents, George and Emma Kansas Hale; a son, Gary Hale; and 15 brothers and sisters.Warren was a retired homebuilder and farmer. Warren celebrated 70 years married to the love of his life, Pauline Lawrence Hale.In addition to his wife, Warren is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Gerry Shank, and Carol and Bennie Ellis; daughter-in-law, Debra Hale; five grandchildren, Missy Shank, Jennifer Shank, Angie Ellis, Amber Hardman and Randall Hale; and two great-grandchildren, Corey Hughes and Annica Hardman.The family would like to extend a special thanks to Good Samaritan Hospice, especially Cary Roebuck, for the exceptional care of our loved one during this time.Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, November 21, 2016, at Oakey's East Chapel, 5188 Cloverdale Road, Roanoke, VA 24019. Elder Alan Terry will officiate with burial following at Rest Vale Cemetery, Floyd County. Full Military Honors will be conducted by Floyd VFW #267 and American Legion #5499. Friends may call at Oakey's East Chapel from noon on Monday until the service time at 2 p.m.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Good Samaritan Hospice, Head of the River Church, the League of Older Americans, or to the charity of your choice.
