Description	:	The following provided by Find A Grave contributor "Cara": The River Press, Fort Benton, Mont., 10 Sept 1975 Wattsic Gossack Died Sept. 8 Wattsic Gossack, 77, a Shonkin grocer, postmaster and rancher who retired and moved to Great Falls in 1974, died Monday morning, Sept. 8, 1975, in a Great Falls hospital where he had been a patient for three days. Read More	The following provided by Find A Grave contributor "Cara": The River Press, Fort Benton, Mont., 10 Sept 1975 Wattsic Gossack Died Sept. 8 Wattsic Gossack, 77, a Shonkin grocer, postmaster and rancher who retired and moved to Great Falls in 1974, died Monday morning, Sept. 8, 1975, in a Great Falls hospital where he had been a patient for three days. Mr. Gossack was born in Plymouth, Pennsylvania, Sept. 28, 1897. The family came to Montana in 1898 to Stockett, where the father, Thomas, was a coal miner. They later moved to Belt and family members homesteaded in the Highwood mountain area in 1918. Wattsic Gossack attended schools at Belt, and worked as a boiler maker in the shipyards at San Francisco during World War I. After the war he came back to Highwood and ranched. He married Mrs. Bonnie Grundy Hooker on May 11, 1946. They operated the store and post office at Shonkin for many years. Mrs. Gossack preceded him in death on Oct. 3,1979. Survivors include a sister, Mary Nicholson of Spokane; brothers, Bennie, Tom and Frank Gossack of Highwood, and Henry, Joe, Adam and Lawrence Gossack of Bozeman; and nieces and nephews.
