Description	:	WAYNE EDWARDS 1924 - 2002 Born on January 30, 1924 in Oconto, Neb., Wayne was raised in Turlock, CA. He joined the Army in 1934 where he was in the 45th Armored Regiment Band. He participated on the front lines against the Nazi's with the 13th Armored Black Cat Division in Rhineland Central Europe. He graduated from San Jose State Univ., in 1950 with a degree in music. He had received many honors and accolades as well as past President of the Music Educators National Conference. He retired and moved to Chico, CA. He is survived by his wife Kitty of 55 years of marriage, his children Dr. Stephen Edwards, Pattie Berg, Joan Bacchus, Dennis and Dean Edwards, 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. His two sisters Beverly and Darlene also survive him. In lieu of flowers, remembrances are requested for the Trinity Methodist Endowment, Chico, CA. Alameda Times-Star 7/5/02.
