Description	:	WESLEY RAINES DIED SUNDAY; LAST RITES HELD HERE TUESDAY Wesley Raines, 65, lifetime resident of this county, died at 10:30 p.m. Sunday at the county home at Red Oak, his death resulting from a stroke of paralysis. The body was taken to the Wolfe & Gourley funeral chapel where at 10:30 Tuesday morning the last rites were conducted by the Rev. Arthur Mortenson, pastor of the Presbyterian Church. Interment was in the Villisca Cemetery. Mrs. Harold Bickford sang for the funeral services and pall bearers were Leonard Strain, Scott Findley, W. D. Washburn, Ray Selzer, and Orville and Edward Raines. He had lived in this county his entire lifetime, most of which was spent with his mother, Mrs. Mary Raines, on a farm north of Villisca where he engaged informing. He never married. He leaves two brothers, Thomas and Edward Raines of Villisca, and three sister, Mrs. Anna Fryer of Villisca, Mrs. Minnie Glover of Omaha, Nebraska, and Mrs. Laennie Gemmell of Heppner, Oregon.
