Wilbur was born on March 12, 1938, in Butler County, Iowa, the son of Elsie (Witt) and Theophil Benjamin Litterer. He was baptized on May 1, 1938 and confirmed on June 1, 1952, both at St. John Lutheran Church in Nashua, Iowa. Read More	Wilbur Benjamin Littterer, 79, of Waverly, Iowa, passed away Tuesday night, October 24, 2017, at Shell Rock Healthcare Center, in Shell Rock, Iowa. Wilbur was born on March 12, 1938, in Butler County, Iowa, the son of Elsie (Witt) and Theophil Benjamin Litterer. He was baptized on May 1, 1938 and confirmed on June 1, 1952, both at St. John Lutheran Church in Nashua, Iowa. Wilbur attended Butler County country schools through 6th grade, and then attended school in Clarksville. On February 20, 1959, Wilbur was united in marriage to Marjorie Ann Klunder at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Clarksville, Iowa. Wilbur was a farm hand before working for Waterloo Concrete from 1957 to 1958. He then worked for Carnation (Nestle) from 1959 until his retirement in 1998. Following his retirement, Wilbur worked for Waverly Homes until 2000. Wilbur was a member of Peace United Church of Christ in Waverly. He enjoyed repair work, woodworking, fishing, camping, reading and volunteer work. Wilbur is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Marjorie; one son, Greg (Darla); two daughters, Marianne (Adam) and Marcia; one granddaughter Raelyn; five brothers, Arnold, Paul (Mary), Robert (Sherry), Richard (Ida), and Roger (Peggy); two sisters, Margret (Carl) and Shirley (David); two sisters-in-law, Ardys and Annetta; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ralph Litterer and Lawrence Litterer, and one brother in infancy; two sisters, Ruth Fisher and Hulda Fisher; one sister-in-law, Yvonne Litterer; two brothers-in-law, Lyle Fisher and Mark Fisher; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, October 28, 2017, at Peace United Church of Christ in Waverly with Pastors Jon Hennings and Craig Hancock officiating. Burial will follow at Harlington Cemetery in Waverly. Visitation will be on Friday, October 27, 2017, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly, and for one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be directed to Peace United Church of Christ or Cedar Valley Hospice, and online condolences may be left at www.kaisercorson.com.
