Description	:	Wilbur Byron Sommer, 83, known for the fine cabinets he built and as a piano tuner, died Aug. 28, 1991, at a Lincoln hospital. He was born May 17, 1908, at Maxwell to Ludwig and Ada Anderson Sommer. He married Luciel Joy Conyers on March 9, 1935. He farmed south of Maxwell for several years before moving to North Platte. Mr. Sommer played the violin and had played with the Oldtime Fiddlers and most recently with the Music Makers at the Lincoln County Senior Center. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Luciel of North Platte; three sons, Noel of Anchorage, Alaska, and Ron and Mark both of North Platte; three daughter, Dee Ann Tillotson of Fremont, Carol Townsend of North Platte and Sherry Maline of Sutherland: a brother, Beryl of California; 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were a son, Darrell, and two brothers, Roy and Albert. Services were held on Saturday at the Adams and Swanson Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Paulsen of the First Baptist Church officiating. Burial was in the Floral Lawns Gardens. Obituary published in The Telegraph, North Platte, NE on Friday, Aug. 30, 1991
