Funeral services were held Monday, March 19, 2001, at the First Christian Church of Fort Benton. Burial followed in Riverside Cemetery with military rites by Post 4047. Wilbur was born March 22, 1923, in Fort Benton, to Waden Coy, Sr. and Mary Fultz. He attended country schools and rode for John Isaacson before enlisting in the navy on Dec. 17, 1940.... Wilbur was born March 22, 1923, in Fort Benton, to Waden Coy, Sr. and Mary Fultz. He attended country schools and rode for John Isaacson before enlisting in the navy on Dec. 17, 1940. He served on the Destroyer USS Craven. They received 10 battle stars during the war. He was a Pearl Harbor Survivor and was a member of the Pearl Harbor Survivors. He reminisced about his years in the Navy and Pearl Harbor stating it was the greatest experience of his life. He received an honorable discharge button and an honorable emblem. In later years he very much enjoyed his ships reunions. He married Helen Belle on Dec. 16, 1950 at Fort Benton. They lived on the family ranch northeast of Fort Benton. He is survived by his wife of Fort Benton; 2 sons, Rodger Fultz and Tom Fultz, both of Fort Benton; daughter, Mary Belle Fultz, Helena; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; sister, Madeline Ragland, Fort Benton; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Ralph, brothers, Waden and Cal, and a sister Adeline.
