He was a life long resident of Nelson except for a few short years which he spent in Burwell. Read More	Wilford Wayne Stineman, only son of Jesse Ray Stineman, was born March 2, 1923, in Bostwick, Nebraska. He was a life long resident of Nelson except for a few short years which he spent in Burwell. Wilford departed this life on Sunday, February 21, 1993, in Hastings, Nebraska, at the age of 69 years, 11 months and 19 days. On February 11, 1951, he was married to Marianne Sole. To this union were born seven children: three sons, Randy, David and Roger, and four daughters, Jennifer, Priscilla, Loretta and Beth Ann. Wilford spent his entire life farming until ill health forced him to retire. He enjoyed the outdoors and weekends to spend time with his children, grandchildren and foster children.He spent the last four years of his life as a resident at the Good Samaritan Center in Nelson. He was very content there and never wanted to be a burden to his family and asked very little of them. Wilford was very grateful for each and every opportunity he had to return home for a Sunday afternoon or holiday. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Beth Ann. Survivors include his wife, Marianne of Hastings, Nebraska; and his children, Randy and his wife, Peggy, David and Roger, all of Nelson, Nebraska, Jennifer boyd and her husband, Tim, of McCook, Nebraska, Priscilla Walker of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Loretta Westra and her husband, Gary, of Anchorage, Alaska; and eight grandchildren, Carrie, Eric and Kevin Boyd, Michelle, Miles and Marcilla Walker and Mason and Courtney Westra. Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 24, 1993, at 2 p.m. from the Nelson Community United Church of Christ with Rev. Royce Buchtel officiating. Music was provided by granddaughter, Michelle Walker, singing "Wind Beneath My Wings" and "Just A Closer Walk With Thee". with Deloris Patterson as accompanist. Ivan Schafer was organist. Casketbearers were Dwight Sole, Carroll Sole, Gary Warren, Jeff Stone, Richard Sole, Walter W. Rawley, David Chapman and Gregg Roe. Honorary pallbearers were Howard Nielsen, Richard Schleif, Melvin Whiteley, Mike Culbertson and Tuffy Culbertson. Burial was in the Nelson Cemetery.
