Read More	With Gratitude to Contributor Contributor: Kathy Monical (49101662): The Sutton News, Sutton, NE - Fri, 26 Feb 1909 Wilhelmina Augusta J. Ebert, nee Feucht, wife of Wilhelm H. Ebert, was born February 2, 1851, in Wuseken, of Pommern, Germany, and came to America in the year 1878 with her mother and brother. At the age of 24 years she was united in marriage to W. H. Ebert and together they came to Clay county, Nebraska in 1878 and resided three miles south of Sutton, where after an abode of 31 years, her earthly career was ended in her now beautiful home, Wednesday, February 18, 1909. Mrs. Ebert had attained the age of 58 years. During most of her sojourn here Mrs. Ebert was in excellent health until two years ago when she suffered from an apopletic stroke from which she recovered and enjoyed comparatively good health her last days. The deceased having been reared in an upright and Christian family, in turn through her example and influence fulfilled her duty toward her own family. For her labor and care she was fully repaid in seeing her four sons and three daughters arrive at a mature age recognizing and ever grateful for the loving sacrifices of the dear mother, which will never leave the memories of the bereaved ones. She was a member of the German Evangelical church for many years and always an active Christian, ready for an act of kindness and mercy in time of need. To her husband she was indeed a true and loving helpmeet. Although death came unexpected, she was prepared. Unfortunately the oldest son Wilhelm was absent at the time of his mother's death but with this exception the entire family were present to comfort the mother as she opened her eyes for the last time to gaze upon the loved ones. The funeral took place Monday afternoon and was largely attended in spite of the dreary, stormy weather. The services were conducted by Rev. C. Fuehrer and Rev. John Calvert. www.newspapers.com
