Description	:	Wilhelmina S. (Luebbe) Giesman, 96, of Pickrell, died Saturday morning, April 20, 2013. She was born on February 7, 1917 southeast of Seward on the family farm. She was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church (Middle Creek) of rural Seward. She worked on the family farm and then did housekeeping for the Paul Rolfsmeier and Dr. R.E. Garlinghouse families. She also worked at Russell Stover's Candy Factory in Lincoln. She married Henry N. Giesman on May 22, 1966 at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church of rural Seward and they farmed and raised livestock at rural Pickrell. She was a member... Read More	Wilhelmina S. (Luebbe) Giesman, 96, of Pickrell, died Saturday morning, April 20, 2013. She was born on February 7, 1917 southeast of Seward on the family farm. She was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church (Middle Creek) of rural Seward. She worked on the family farm and then did housekeeping for the Paul Rolfsmeier and Dr. R.E. Garlinghouse families. She also worked at Russell Stover's Candy Factory in Lincoln. She married Henry N. Giesman on May 22, 1966 at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church of rural Seward and they farmed and raised livestock at rural Pickrell. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of rural DeWitt. She enjoyed flowers, gardening and music. Survivors include one sister, Elsie Kracke and husband Lovelle of Dewitt; many nieces, nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilhelm and Anna Heidtbrink Luebbe, husband Henry, who died January 23, 1997; six brothers, Martin and his wife Ila, Herbert and his wife Irene, William and his wife Frieda, Laurence, Henry and his wife Bernice and Arnold and his wife Eleanor; one sister, Gertrude Richert and her husband Walter. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Tuesday April 23, 2013 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church (Soap Creek) of rural DeWitt with Pastor Rick Johnson officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. A family prayer service will be held at 1:15 P.M. on Tuesday in the fellowship hall of the church. The body will lie in state at the Fox Funeral Home from 8:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. Monday and then at the church one hour preceding the service on Tuesday. A memorial has been established to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Lutheran Hour Ministry and Concordia University at Seward with DeVern Pohlmann, Paul Niemeyer and David Spilker in charge. Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice is in charge of the arrangements.
