He spent his entire life within three miles of his birthplace. Sept., 7, 1890, he was married to Ursula Elvira Lockridge. To this union three children were born, Mrs. Dollie Myers, Des Moines, Mrs. Cecil Horbert [Harbert], Norwalk, and George L. of Orient. He was a kind and loving husband and father and had many friends wherever he went. His health had been failing for some time. He devoted much of his time to reading and working in his garden since retiring from the farm. Mr. and Mrs. Kepley celebrated their 55th wedding nniversary last Sept. 7. Their children and grandchildren were all present except one grandson who was in the service. His is survived by his wife; three children; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister Mrs. Arminta Burnett of Colfax, and a brother, Morris of Des Moines. All were present for the services except one granddaughter who was unable to attend. Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb. 3, at 2 o'clock at the Spring Hill Methodist church.
