Wilson, 81, were held Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock in the Barnhart and Johannsen funeral home with Rev. E.E. Clements of the Methodist church at Rudd officiating. Rev. Ralph Supplee of the local church assisted. Mr. Wilson died at the Presbyterian hospital in Waterloo in Friday at 1 o’clock, where he was taken ten days ago. Death was due to complications caused from advanced age. He was the son of Anna Atwood and Truman Wilson, born Mar. 3, 1861, in Clinton county. He was married to Emma Van Brocklin on Nov. 25, 1886, in Mt. Auburn and they farmed near La Porte City until 1933 when they moved to town where they have resided since. After coming to town __ Wilson built several homes which he afterwards sold. They celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary last November. He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Harry Kober and Mrs. Mamie Peterson, and one son, Arthur, all of Waterloo; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, Andrew of Mt. Auburn, John of Waterloo and Charles of La Porte City, and one sister, Mrs. Ella Brooks of Los Angeles, Calif. A sister Mrs. Silas King of Clay county died and was buried last week on Tuesday, and his parents, two brothers and another sister preceded him in death. The casket bearers were Andrew __innerman, Henry Niemeyer, Louis Larsen, Charles Garling, Charles Rupprich and Elmer Reiser. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Burr sang appropriate selections accompanied by Mrs. C.A. Brust. The out-of-town relatives and friends attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wilson and family, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kober, Mrs. Mamie Peterson, Mr. and Mrs. John Wilson, Mrs. Will Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Pichard, Mr. and Mrs. John Wright and Mr. and Mrs. William Montgomery, all of Waterloo; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ingle of Ames; Truman Wilson of Beloit, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wilson, George Wilson and Andrew Wilson, all of Mt. Auburn.
