He was married March 2, 1904 to Maud Ethel Weimer, To this union were born six children, all of them boys. Two boys, Walter and Merle, passed away seven years ago. Read More	William Atchison was born in Osage County May 14, 1878 and departed this life Dec 11, 1922, at the age of 44 years 6 months and 27 days. He was married March 2, 1904 to Maud Ethel Weimer, To this union were born six children, all of them boys. Two boys, Walter and Merle, passed away seven years ago. The four boys living are Keith, John, Harold, and Robert. Will Atchison was an honorable man and beloved by many friends. It was indeed a shock to the community when his death which was caused by blood poisoning, was announced Monday morning.Death came after only a few days sickness. Mr Atchison was a soldier of the Spanish-American War and wore the honors of a splendid record of one year, eight months, and twenty-nine days. When given an honorable discharge on May 8, 1901, he was a corporal of Company M, 32nd Regiment of U S Volunteers. Mr Atchison was also a member of the Modern Woodmen of America and was held in high esteem by all the members of that order, always being ready to do any service required of him. He leaves besides his wife and four boys, his father and mother, John and Mary Atchison, his brother, Ted, and four sisters, Mrs Daisy Herlan, Mrs Myrtle Israel, Mrs Pearl O'Bryhim and Ruth Atchison, who have the sympathy of the community and his many friends. The funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the M E church and conducted by Rev J B Mackenzie, assisted by Rev I L Hoover of the Brethren church.
