Description	:	Obituary - taken from the Harlan County Journal William Kennedy was born in southern Illinois, March 1, 1860, and passed away at the home of his son two miles souhteast of Alma, August 20, 1918, aged 58 years, 5 months and 19 days. In his childhood, his parents moved to the state of Iowa, then to Kansas, homesteading four miles south of Woodruff. Read More	Obituary - taken from the Harlan County Journal William Kennedy was born in southern Illinois, March 1, 1860, and passed away at the home of his son two miles souhteast of Alma, August 20, 1918, aged 58 years, 5 months and 19 days. In his childhood, his parents moved to the state of Iowa, then to Kansas, homesteading four miles south of Woodruff. Mr. and Mrs. Kennedy always lived at or near Alma/ About six years ago his health began to fail, and most of the time since that has been spent under affliction. He bore his sufferings very patiently and lived in hope that he might some day be well. But his hopes were not to be realized as he became worse and it became evident that the end was at hand.He was converted and united with the Evangelical church 9 years ago and has remained a member since that time. He leaves to mourn his loss his devoted wife, 3 sons, one daughter, 12 brothers 4 sisters, 7 grandchildren, besides a numerous host of friends. Interment was made at the Alma cemetery.
