His three sisters and seven brothers have preceded him in death.On September 14, 1874, he was married to Phoebe Alexander at Kankakee, Illinois.Into this home nine children were born.In 1880, Mr. and Mrs. Bray came to Kansas and resided in Cloud County the remainder of their lives, living in Arion for 28 years, and moving to Glasco 16 years ago.It is now 8 years since Mrs. Bray passed away.One daughter, Mrs. Adda Biven, preceded her father in death two years ago.The eight surviving children are: Ed. Bray, Mrs. J.S. Dotson, Mrs. W.H. Spicher, all of Glasco; also Clara of the home; Mrs. Fred Ball of Concordia, Mrs. Horace Powell, Elgin, Illinois; Mrs. Josephine Lash, Ottawa; and Mrs. C.J. Schats of Wheaton, Illinois.He also leaves 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.His daughter Clara has taken loving care of both her mother and father in their declining years, with a devotion that spared no pains or trouble where their comfort or ease were concerned.Mr. Bray was a member of the Christian church.This grand old pioneer will be greatly missed by his children and friends.Funeral services were held in the Glasco Christian Church on Thursday, December 11, 1941, at 2:00 p.m., Rev. R.R. Braddick, pastor of the Glasco Methodist Church, officiating. Interment was made in the Glasco cemetery.
