On Feb. 21, 1906, she was united in marriage to Warren Biven, this happy union continuing to the time of her departure. Read More	Glasco Sun, Dec. 14, 1939, page 3: Mrs. Adda Biven Adda Elma Bray, daughter of Wm. and Phoebe Bray, was born in Center Township, Cloud county, Kans., Sept. 8, 1882, and after months of suffering went to her heavenly home from her home near Glasco, Kans., Nov. 27, 1939, at the age of 57 years 2 months and 19 days. On Feb. 21, 1906, she was united in marriage to Warren Biven, this happy union continuing to the time of her departure. On Sept. 29, 1909 their only son, Dale, became a member of this happy family. In June 1924, Mrs. Biven along with her husband and son was converted in a revival meeting held in a school house in the community. This brought a definite change in her life. She became a member of the New Hope Wesleyan M.E. church about two years later and since that time has been a faithful and active member of said church. In August 1931 she entered in the active service of a pastor's wife since Mr. Biven had become a pastor of the New Hope church. She very graciously fit into this new world. For four years she labored in this capacity giving of her time and her all to the work of the Lord. Eternity alone will revear (sic) the fruit of her labor. Mrs. Biven was loved by all who knew her. She was a kind and loving wife and mother, always looking out for the interests of her family. She was a generous neighbor and a sincere friend. During her last illness she was always patient, greeting her many friends with a cheery smile. To the very close of her life her interests were not in herself but in others. Her Godly life has been a benediction to the home, the church and the community. Just a few days before her departure she gave a definite testimony that she was ready to go, that she was saved and sanctified and that she loved everybody. She comforted her faithful husband by telling him not to weep but rather to rejoice. May God bless the memory of this one of His saints. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, Warren Biven, her son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Biven and her father, William Bray, all of Glasco, Kansas. Her mother having preceded her in death; also seven sisters and one brother, Mrs. Elmira Ball, Concordia; Mrs. Julia Dotson, Mrs. Carrie Spicer, Miss Clara Bray, all of Glasco; Mrs. Edith Powell, Elgin, Ill.; Mrs. Josephine Lash, Ottawa, Kans.; Mrs. Hermina Schatz, Wheatin, Ill.; and Edward Bray of Glasco; two grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services were conducted at the New Hope Wesleyan Methodist church, Wednesday, Nov. 29th, with Rev. O.G. Wilson officiating, assisted by Rev. F.C. Hill and Rev. H.B. Hotchkiss. The Miltonvale college male quartet sang "Leaning on the Everlasting Arms," "He Keeps Me Singing" and "Good Night and Good Morning." Interment was made in the Glasco cemetery.
