The son, William F. Brewer, 906 Market, died at 2:20 o'clock. A short while later, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William B. Brewer, 518 Sherman, arrived at the hospital. When informed of his son's death, Mr. Brewer suffered a heart attack and died at 2:40 o'clock. William F. Brewer was employed by the Pennington Auto Supply company. He was born December 19, 1918, at Cedar Point. December 11, 1948, he and Miss Imogene Huff were married in Emporia. He is survived by his wife, of the home, 906 Market, two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Tilson, of Moscow Idaho; Mrs. Helen Ruth O'Day, 511 Lincoln; his mother, Mrs. William B. Brewer, 518 Sherman; and his grandmother, Mrs. Esther LaLoge, of Strong City. He was a veteran of World War II. William B. Brewer was born at Allen, March 27, 1887, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sanders Brewer. Mr. Brewer, a blacksmith and welder, had lived in Lyon county all his life. He married Madeline LaLoge in Emporia, November 1, 1917. They had four children, two of whom survive. One other son, Donald Wayne, died in 1924. He is survived by his wife, of the home, two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Tilson, Moscow, Idaho; Mrs. Helen Ruth O'Day, 511 Lincoln; two brothers, Alfred E. Brewer, of Council Grove; Clifford E. Brewer, of Tulsa, Okla.; a half-brother, Bart Brewer, Rt. 5, Emporia; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Long, of Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Lillie Quackenbush, of Hutchinson; one granddaughter, Vickie Ann Tilson, one grandson, Alfred Paul Tilson, of Moscow, Idaho. He was a member of the Emporia Masonic lodge, A. F. and A. M., and the Knights Templer (sic) and a veteran of World War I.
