Description	:	William Frederick, son of Mr. Henry Kuhlmann and his wife Mary, nee Block, was born June 19, 1880 in Broadlands, Illinois. He was brought to Nebraska as a young boy when his parents moved to Belvidere. After a short stay there, they moved to a farm near Byron. For the past 65 years he lived on a farm west of Chester. Read More	William Frederick, son of Mr. Henry Kuhlmann and his wife Mary, nee Block, was born June 19, 1880 in Broadlands, Illinois. He was brought to Nebraska as a young boy when his parents moved to Belvidere. After a short stay there, they moved to a farm near Byron. For the past 65 years he lived on a farm west of Chester. He was married to Margaret Sell on October 6, 1909. After her death in 1954 Mr. Kuhlmann continued to live alone on the farm. Although not in the best of health, there seemed to be nothing alarming about his condition. Thus it came as a great shock to find him dead last Wednesday evening, the victim of a heart attack. He reached the age of 77 years, one month and 26 days. Mr. Kuhlmann was baptized in infancy in Illinois and was confirmed in St. Peter's Church in Deshler. For more than half a centruy he had been an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Chester. Enjoying a large acquaintanceship because of his interest in raising fine cattle, and being highly respected for his fine character, his loss will be keenly felt. His sudden passing is mourned by three brothers, Henry of North Platte, Fred of Chester, John of Colorado Springs, Colo., and a sister, Frances Kuhlmann of Tucson, Arizona. Funeral services were held in St. John's Lutheran Church Sunday, August 18th, Rev. G.O. Kebschull in charge. Singers were Miss Elaine Vorderstrasse, Mrs. Alvin Poppe, Mrs. E.M. Schroeder, Mrs. R.A. Claybaker, Orvil Heitman, Walter C. Poppe, Willis Poppe, E.M. Schroeder, accompanied by Mrs. G.O. Kebschull at the organ. Pallbearers were Wilbert Kuhlmann, Jack V. Sell, Arno Sell, Kenneth Kuhlmann, Leonard Kuhlmann, and Robert Werner. Burial was in St. John's Lutheran cemetery (sic).
