Description	:	William Gordon Dooley was born near Pittsburg, VanBuren County, Iowa to William James and Nellie Leota (Pearson) Dooley. He grew up on the family farm, graduated from Keosauqua High School, married Wilda Faye Williams. They had one child, William Glenn. Gordon attended Iowa State University, and worked for the US Bureau of Reclaimation in South Dakota, North Dakota and Texas. He was the budget officer for the Garrison Dam Project (ND) and the Lake Meredith Project (TX). After retirement, he and Faye moved to Raymore, MO to be close to family. He passed away... Gordon attended Iowa State University, and worked for the US Bureau of Reclaimation in South Dakota, North Dakota and Texas. He was the budget officer for the Garrison Dam Project (ND) and the Lake Meredith Project (TX). After retirement, he and Faye moved to Raymore, MO to be close to family. He passed away following a lengthy illness in Kansas City, MO. Survivors include his wife, Wilda Faye; his son W Glenn Dooley and daughter-in-law Vera C (Urquhart) of Raytown; two grandsons: William J Dooley and wife Carol of Belton, MO, Michael J Dooley and wife Pamela of Heidelberg Germany; one granddaughter: Susan M Stockdell and husband Brian of Scottsdale, AZ. Six great-granddaughters and one great-grandson. Preceeding him in death include his parents, two half-sisters: Hazel Brabbs and Ruth Verbeek, a brother: Philip L. Dooley, and a sister Mary Leota Dooley (infancy).
