Read More	GRANT LAWSON DIED WEDNESDAY Passed Away At Sanitarium Near Washington Last Sunday WAS X-RAY TECHNICIAN IN WASHINGTON HOSPITAL Mr. William Grant Lawson, X-ray technician at the George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D. C., died early Sunday morning at Glen Dale Sanitarium, after an illness of several months. He was 39 years of age. He received his X-ray training in Wisconsin, and had been associated with the George Washington University Hospital for about 13 years. Mr. Lawson was a charter member of the District X-ray Technicians Society, served on the first Executive Committee and was president of the Society in 1941. Last year he was awarded the Society Certificate of Merit for his work as chairman of the Program Committee in formulating new and specialized technique, and for general direction of the educational program. This certificate was awarded to him last Saturday, which was his birthday, in the hospital. He was a native of Asbury district, the son of Mrs. Anna Lawson and the late Lester Lawson. Funeral services, attended by scores of relatives and friends, were held in Asbury Methodist Church Wednesday afternoon, conducted by the pastor, Rev. J. T. Rowlenson. Interment was in the family lot in Asbury cemetery. Pallbearers were Dan Pasquella, Kirk Sterling, Clifford Byrd, William Sterling, Lloyd McCready, and Chuck Sterling. His body was brought to Crisfield by the Hubbard Funeral Home on Sunday. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lucille Lawson, his mother Mrs. Anna Lawson, one brother, George Lawson, Yeoman in the United States Navy, and two sisters, Misses Jean and Stella Lawson.
