Description	:	Former Crisfield Resident Dead Mr. William H. Sterling, 82, former resident of Crisfield, died at his home in Philadelphia Monday following a lengthy illness. Mr. Sterling was a native of Crisfield, the son of the late Geo. B. and Nancy (Sterling) Sterling. He was associated with the Railway Express Co., and had retired some time ago. Although making his home in Philadelphia for the past 20 years, Mr. Sterling had maintained his membership here in the Asbury Methodist Church, where he was formerly a class leader. Sterling, 82, former resident of Crisfield, died at his home in Philadelphia Monday following a lengthy illness. Mr. Sterling was a native of Crisfield, the son of the late Geo. B. and Nancy (Sterling) Sterling. He was associated with the Railway Express Co., and had retired some time ago. Although making his home in Philadelphia for the past 20 years, Mr. Sterling had maintained his membership here in the Asbury Methodist Church, where he was formerly a class leader. Mr. Sterling was twice married. His first marriage to Mrs. Nellie Rebecca Sterling terminated by her death in 1915. He is survived by his present wife, Mrs. Carrie Gordy Sterling, Philadelphia, and the following children: Mrs. Jay M. Thomas, Philadelphia, Mrs. Kensil Bell, Chester Springs, Pa., Eugene H. Sterling and William T. Sterling, both of Crisfield. A brother, George B. Sterling lives in Oakland, Calif., and a half-brother, Col. Marvin B. Sterling is now on active duty with the U.S. Air Force. Two grandchildren also survive, William T. Sterling, Jr., and Rebecca Virginia Sterling, both of Crisfield. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 p. m. from the Asbury Methodist Church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Frank A. Baker. Interment was in the Asbury cemetery.
