Wohl died at the Bryan Memorial Hospital in Lincoln following a serious operation. He was born September 14, 1850 in Mecklenburg, Germany. Early he became a child of God through Holy Baptism. On April 9, 1865 he was confirmed. A youth of 17, he came to America with his parents, landing in Nebraska City, April 1, 1868 coming from there to Lancaster County. Read More	********************************* An old resident of Lancaster County was called to his eternal rest Sunday evening at 11 o'clock when Mr. Wm. Wohl died at the Bryan Memorial Hospital in Lincoln following a serious operation. He was born September 14, 1850 in Mecklenburg, Germany. Early he became a child of God through Holy Baptism. On April 9, 1865 he was confirmed. A youth of 17, he came to America with his parents, landing in Nebraska City, April 1, 1868 coming from there to Lancaster County. On May 14, 1876 he entered the estate of holy matrimony with Miss Doro Orthmann. This union was blessed with six children, three sons and three daughters. On May 14, 1878 he began the long journey to Colorado with his family, making the entire distance in a covered wagon. After living in Leadville six years, he returned to Lancaster County, making his home east of Crete. Many years did he suffer from an ailment which grew worse with age. Last May he was permitted to celebrate his golden wedding anniversary. Ten days before his death he was taken to the hospital, where his end came peacefully. He reached the age of 75 years, 11 months, and 28 days, being survived by his wife, six children, one adopted daughter, two sisters, and 9 grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Thursday at 2 o'clock at the Lutheran Church, of which he was an old member, having served many years as deacon.
