Curtis Sr. (w/ photo) - Wenona - William James Curtis Sr., 60, of here, died of a bowel obstruction Saturday, July 28, 1990, at Peninsula General Hospital Medical Center in Salisbury. Born here, he was the son of the late John and Pearl Daniels Curtis. He worked as a seafood truck driver for Harold White and Harry Wilson, as a custodian at the Somerset County Headstart in Dames Quarter and as an orderly at Riverwalk Manor in Salisbury. Born here, he was the son of the late John and Pearl Daniels Curtis. He worked as a seafood truck driver for Harold White and Harry Wilson, as a custodian at the Somerset County Headstart in Dames Quarter and as an orderly at Riverwalk Manor in Salisbury. He was an Army veteran. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church here and also attended Faith Independent Church here. Curtis is survived by his wife, Anna Ruth Evans Curtis of here; four children, Faith Curtis and Debbie Curtis, both of Virginia Beach, and Sharlene Oppel and William J. "Billy" Curtis Jr., both of Princess Anne; three sisters, Ethel O'Neill, Edith Webster and Emma Kelly, all of here; 12 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Faith Independent Church here. The Rev. Linwood "Sonny" Benton and the Rev. John Scott will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery here. Friends may call at the church today from 7 to 9 p.m. and from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday. Arrangements are by Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne. (The Daily Times, Monday, 30 July 1990, p. 12)
