Read More	Atchison Daily Globe Apr. 17, 1968 W.J. Van Liew Dies At 77 William James Van Liew, 77,Excelsior Springs, Mo., brother of four Atchison residents, died this morning at the Excelsior Springs hospital. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Luke's Episcopal church, Excelsior Springs, and the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Prichard Funeral home there. Burial wil be in Sunset Memorial Gardens here at 11:30 a.m. Friday. Mr. Van Liew was born Nov. 22, 1890, at Kansas City, and was a retired real estate operator and hotel owner. He was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal church in Excelsior Springs. He is survived by his wife, Minnie Childs Van Liew, of the home; a son William James Van Liew, Kansas City; two daughters, Mrs. John Magers, El Dorado Kas. , and Mrs. L.A. Birks, Grandview, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. Kenneth Ingels and Mrs. W.J. Pike both of Atchison; and seven brothers, Harry and Carl Van Liew, both of Atchison, Ernest Van Liew, Hiawatha, Walter and Marshall Van Liew, both of Lawrence, Clarence, Kansas City and Floyd, Compton, Calif.
