Description	:	William Jennings Wagner Dec 5,1908-Sept 27,1993 William Jennings Wagner, youngest son of Henry Wagner and Lucy Classen was born Dec. 6, 1908 about one mile west of Bristow, Nebraska. He was born in the house where the town of Bristow originated. The town site was later moved farther east to the present location. He was named after William Jennings Bryon, then Governor of Nebraska. In 1912, the family moved back to the family homestead about five miles north and west of Bristow. He was born in the house where the town of Bristow originated. The town site was later moved farther east to the present location. He was named after William Jennings Bryon, then Governor of Nebraska. In 1912, the family moved back to the family homestead about five miles north and west of Bristow. The family continued to operate both farms. In the 1930s he opened a business in Bristow where he fixed radios combined with a pool hall. He went to Valentine, Nebraska in the early 1940s and started his carpentry business building many homes in Valentine. He married Helen Schnitzer on September 25, 1948 at Rushville, Nebraska. Helen was born Dec. 25, 1895 at Johnstown, Nebraska. She worked for several years in hotels and cafes. Her first husband died of cancer. She passed away on Jan. 28, 1993 at the age of 97. They lived there 44 years together in the home they built in Valentine. Bill, after retiring, enjoyed working in his workshop and gardening. He passed away September 27, 1993 and they are buried at Mount Hope Cemetery in Valentine, Nebraska. by Doris Wagner Fernau
