He had been in poor health the last three years, but until a few weeks ago was able to get around. Deceased was a native of Sacony, Germany, coming to America when quite young and located at Davenport. Forty years ago he came to Humboldt, and a year or two later moved onto a farm in Lincoln township, this county, and a few years later moved to Bellville township. Nine years ago the family purchased a home in Pocahontas and since have been living in town. Deceased had been married twice, four children being born to the first wife, two of whom are now living, W. F. Booge, residing just south of town, and Mrs. Aug. Schultz of Humboldt. To the second union five children were born, Mrs. Charles Schroeder of Mt. Vernon, Washington, Frank Booge of Bellville, Fred Booge of Pocahontas, Mrs. John Helmick of Lincoln and Mrs. Albert Schroeder of Palmer. The funeral is held today, Thursday, at the German Lutheran church, leaving the house about 10:30 a.m. Transcribed by Teresa Davis
