He and Merribelle celebrated 66 years of marriage. They lived and farmed in the Cosmo Township area until 1965 when they moved to the Jorgensen homestead where he was born south of Minden and farmed until retiring in 1994. To this union, five children were born. William was a lifelong confirmed member of Fredericksburg Lutheran Church. He was baptized at the church on July 29, 1924. He was involved in Danish Brotherhood, Lions Club International, 592 Eagles Club of Hastings and the Goldenrod Camping Group. He enjoyed playing SomeRSet and collecting John Deere tractors, and he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling and, most of all, his involvement in the church. He was preceded in death by daughter, Debra Pesek; son-in-law, Tom Donley; brothers, Al Jorgensen and Nels Jorgensen; sisters, Caroline Jorgensen and Helen Nelson; and grandsons, Daniel Joseph Donley and Daniel Thomas Donley.
