Mr. Lawson was the father of Mrs. James K. Flynn (Lela Lawson Flynn) of this city and was formerly U.P. (Union Pacific Railroad) repair track foreman here. Mr. Lawson was well known by many here. Funeral services will be held in Central City (Nebraska) Sunday afternoon. Date & Newspaper Unknown - Possibly Central City Republican William Lawson - Born to Harvey (B) and Maria (E. Stewart) Lawson July 4, 1867 at Toledo Iowa and died April 2, 1937 at Sterling Colorado. He was married to Viola (Marie) Clough at Toledo Iowa September 26, 1887. They moved to Merrick County Nebraska in Mead township in the spring of 1890 where he resided until 1909 when he moved to Chappell Nebraska. Funeral services were conducted at Solt Funeral (home) at 2:00 P.M. Monday with Rev. J. Henry Stitt officating. Pallbearers were Mayor Aug (?) C. Schneiderheinz, Will Solt, Ira Mack (?), Will Owens, Dave Johnston and Ernest Gleason. Mrs. Sam Wilson and Mrs. Lulu Nash served as flowerbearers. All the children were present except Mrs. Marian (Edward B.) Cary of Cleveland Ohio. Interment was made in the Central City (Nebraska) Cemetery.
