Bill was a life-long truck driver and earned numerous safe driving awards for his service. His volunteer work included driving the church bus and doing mechanical work for years. Bill loved his family, soul mate and best friend, Janie with whom he enjoyed boating, camping and hunting. He loved lighting up their home with beautiful Christmas lights for many years. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He also loved his pets, PenPen and Shilo. Bill leaves behind his sons David William Zepp (wife Ruthie Grams Zepp) of Williamsport, Md, Richard Louis Zepp (wife Pauline) of Keedysville, Md, and Steven Thomas Zepp (wife Diane) of Myersville, Md. Additionally he wil be deeply missed by grandchildren; Wendy Dawn Zepp-Reeves, Misty Faith Zepp, Jeffrey Zepp, Hunter Zepp and step-son, Jamal. He was predeceased by grandson Randy William in 1991. Additionally, he leaves great-grandchildren Joseph Allen and David Winston Reeves and Derek Zepp. Bill and Janie had many wonderful family gatherings at their home and enjoyed singing Gospel and Southern Gospel music. They served for many years @ Mt. View Baptist Church. Their love for Jesus and hope in Eternal Life was the bond that kept them always going in the right direction through it all. The family is most grateful for the caring staff at Elisabeth House and a special thanks to Dr Melei Lath who lovingly remained with Bill in the final hours fulfilling his desire not to die alone in a nursing home. The care and attention he received is most appreciated. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Friday December 11, 2020 at New Life Christian Church, 12031 Hopewell Rd., Hagerstown, MD with Pastor officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the church service. Interment will be made in Harmony Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Myersville. All Covid-19 protocol will be followed by wearing masks and social distancing.. Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, Middletown, is in charge of arrangements.
