Hildreth Telescope Hildreth, Nebraska 14 Feb 1913, Fri • Page 4 OBITUARY Died-At the home of his daughter, Mrs. Chris Rush, on Friday, January 31st, at 1:2 p.m., William Morris, aged 86 years, 3 months and 14 days. He was born in Keystone Camrose Parish, Pembrokeshire, South Wales, October 17, 1820. Was united in Marriage August 10, 1848, to Miss Jane Thomas who was born in Herbrandston, Pembrokeshire, South Wales, died at her home near Upland, February 8, 1901. To this union was born 12 children of which four have passed to the great beyond leaving 8 to mourn the loss of their beloved father. With wife and children, he emigrated to America in 1882, setting first in the state of New York and from there came to Nebraska in 1882 where he remained until the day of his death. He was a loving husband and a kind Christian father, having united with the Baptist church in 1874. He was held in high esteem by all who knew him, and we hope to meet him in a better land. The funeral services were conducted from the M.E. Church by R. N. Throckmorton, a former pastor, assisted by the pastor, Rev. Harvey Anderson, and prayer was offered Rev. Mr. Rudd, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Upland Cemetery. A large concourse of friends was present at the funeral who extend their sympathy to the bereaved children. - Upland Eagle.
