Deceased was born at Pemroke, Pembrokeshire, South Wales, Great Britian May 9th, 1862. He migrated to America with his parents in 1868 locating in Nebraska. He was married to Carrie Alice Deck September 17, 1890 at St. Francis, Kansas. They moved to Iowa in 1891. The fruits of this union was a son. Read More	Stratford Courier September 6, 1900 Morris DIED - At his home 2 miles north of Stratford, Sunday afternoon at one o'clock William Henry Morris, age 38 years, 3 months and 11 days. Deceased was born at Pemroke, Pembrokeshire, South Wales, Great Britian May 9th, 1862. He migrated to America with his parents in 1868 locating in Nebraska. He was married to Carrie Alice Deck September 17, 1890 at St. Francis, Kansas. They moved to Iowa in 1891. The fruits of this union was a son. The deceased leaves a wife, son, father, mother and brothers to mourn his early demise. The immediate cause of his death was blood poisoning, contracted about ten days ago while plowing, his hands were poisoned, but he thought nothing serious would result until one week ago last Tuesday when he came to Stratford to consult a physician he stayed in town until about 11 o'clock, on arrival at home he was taken with severe pains and had to take his bed. From this on he seemed to grow worse and suffered great pain until death relieved him Sunday afternoon at one o'clock. Funeral services were held at the M.E. Church, of which he was a member, Rev. E.A. Hoelcher officiating. The procession started for Oakwood cemetery headed by Stratford Camp M. W. of A., of which order he was a honored member, where his remains were consigned to mother earth. Neighbor Morris was a loving husband, a kind and indulgent father, a true and oblidging neighbor. Peace to his ashes.
