He was well known here, having been a resident of this community prior to moving to Big Springs. William Hansen was born in Germany on November 12, 1905 to John C. Hansen and his wife, Alwine nee Hinricksen. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church at Goerl, Germany. On November 12, 1934 he was united in marriage with Miss Lola Johnston at Wolbach. Read More	From The Wolbach Journal, January 30, 1964, page 1, transcribed by Linda Berney: William Hansen, 58, of Big Springs, died Sunday morning in the hospital at Julesburg, Colorado. He was well known here, having been a resident of this community prior to moving to Big Springs. William Hansen was born in Germany on November 12, 1905 to John C. Hansen and his wife, Alwine nee Hinricksen. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church at Goerl, Germany. On November 12, 1934 he was united in marriage with Miss Lola Johnston at Wolbach. They had four children, Ruth, Betty, Wilma and John, all of which preceded him in death. He entered the hospital in Julesburg early this year where he died January 26th at the age of 58 years, 2 months and 14 days. He is survived by his wife, Lola; his mother, Mrs. Alwine Hansen, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; three brothers, Hans of San Leandro, Calif, Henry and Otto of Milwaukee; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Martin, Mrs. Emma Ellefson and Mrs. Kay Geisler, all of Milwaukee and a number of other relatives.
