TUNING was born April 7, 1850, at Williamsville, Bath County, Virginia, and peacefully passed away on the evening of June 10th, 1917 at the age of 67 years, 2 months and 3 days. When seven years of age he moved with his parents to Iowa where he grew to manhood. On February 19, 1871, he was united in marriage to Phoebe Roberts of Pleasant Plain, Iowa. Read More	WILLIAM R. TUNING was born April 7, 1850, at Williamsville, Bath County, Virginia, and peacefully passed away on the evening of June 10th, 1917 at the age of 67 years, 2 months and 3 days. When seven years of age he moved with his parents to Iowa where he grew to manhood. On February 19, 1871, he was united in marriage to Phoebe Roberts of Pleasant Plain, Iowa. To this union were born eight children, four boys and four girls; Mrs. Eva Presnall of Entiat, Washington, Mrs. Lillie Emry, of Olive, Montana, Mrs. Mary Thompson, Mrs. Nellie Ellis, John, David, and Orville, all of Allen Nebraska. One boy died in infancy. Besides his wife and seven children, he leaves to mourn his loss one brother of Sawyer, North Dakota, one sister of Beatrice, Nebraska, and one sister of Salem, Iowa; twenty-nine grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. Two nieces being present, Mrs. Bertha Dean of Whiting, Iowa; and Mrs. Clara Pope of Hillsboro, Iowa. Shortly after coming to Nebraska he united with the Friends Church at Springbank. We have the comforting assurance that his peace was made with God, and he was ready to enter in through the gates of the City, washed in the blood of the Lamb.
