Description	:	William Sandbloom went on Saturday afternoon, April 5th, 2014 peacefully to be with the Lord at the age of 89. He was reunited with his loving wife, Phyllis Marie Sandbloom of 65 years who had preceded him in death. William was born December 28, 1924 in Boone, Iowa. He served in World War II in the South Pacific in several of the island campaigns as a U.S. Navy Seabee. Phyllis and Bill were married in 1946. They had four children: Pat Sandbloom (Melissa) of Redding, Stacey Desmond (John) of Sacramento. Both son Robert Sandbloom (Nancy) and daughter Carla Chamberlin (Richard)... Both son Robert Sandbloom (Nancy) and daughter Carla Chamberlin (Richard) both of Redding preceded him in death. He is survived by eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He retired from the Bureau of Reclamation as a tour guide at Shasta Dam. He was a Master Mason and belonged to the Scottish Rite and the Shriners.
