Description	:	Mr. William Thomas "Dub" Garren, 90, husband of the late Faye McCall Garren, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2018. Born in Pickens County, a son of the late Sedrick H. Garren and the late Effie Brown Garren, Mr. Garren retired from Woodside Mills. He had a passion for cars and bicycles which led him to owning and operating Garren's Used Cars. He was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are a daughter, Vickie Garren Smith (Richard) of Easley; two grandchildren, Scott Smith of Augusta, GA, and Ricky Smith (Patsy) of Easley; two great-grandchildren, Austin Smith and Aimee Smith Winchester (Daniel); a soon to be born great-great-grandson, Boone Winchester; a special friend, Delores Donehue of Easley, and his furbaby, Baby. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Garren was predeceased by three brothers, Ossie, Ed, and Bunk Garren; and a sister, Mary Inez Ellenburg. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, November 16, 2018 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, with Rev. Scott Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM Friday at the funeral home, prior to the service. The family is at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Richard Smith. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 301 University Ridge, Suite 5850, Greenville, SC 29601. Condolences may be expressed online at www.robinsonfuneralhomes.com or in person at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, Easley, which is assisting the family.
