Description	:	William was the son of Jacob and Virginia (Key) Feazel. He died at age 5 years, 3 months and 15 days. Jacob was a boot and shoemaker who was born in Virginia. One evening, William Feazel, was playing about an ox-driven oil mill (which was owned by John Carter on West Washington Street) and he got caught up in the machinery. He died instantly. Apparently the oil mill was operated by oxen walking on a treadmill type device. The manner in which William Feazel got caught in the machinery was not explained. The above story was summarized... The above story was summarized from the Hadley History of Mooresville. His parents are buried in the Mooresville Cemetery. Note: The Mooresville Obituary Finder shows that William was born in 1810 and died in 1815. However, his mother was not born until 1817. Her obituary shows that she and Jacob married in 1836 and settled in Mooresville in 1844. Knowing that the accident occurred in Mooresville, I believe it can be assumed that the accident occurred in 1845 and that William was actually born in 1840. His date of birth is an estimate based upon his age at death.
